Sirois Barker (S.C.)
Mr. Barker has 50 plus years’ experience in the Construction & Management industry. Mr. Barker was a Petty Officer First Class who served 10 months in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He commanded an 18 man squad who completed constructions projects which included machine gun towers, officers clubs, runways, barracks, and various other DoD projects. Also while in the service, Mr. Barker was head over the Military Police while stationed in San Juan, Puerto Rico. While in San Juan, he oversaw logistics of operation “Spring Board” which was where the shore patrol monitored all ships coming in from the Atlantic for Rest and Recuperation. Mr. Barker has been the owner of S.C. Barker Construction Company for 50 years, he strives to bring the utmost quality, detail, and excellence to every project the company takes on. Sirois and his wife Carol, have two sons Kevin and Brinson. They enjoy time with the family and their 6 grandsons.
Nayan S. Patel
Nayan Patel has 25 years of Architectural and Construction Management experience, half of which has been earned at SC Barker Construction Company, as Vice-President and Senior Estimator. Nayan’s experience has been forged from valuable cross-training efforts in both Architectural Design and Planning, and with all facets of General Contracting and Construction Management Services. His primary responsibilities include Pre-Construction Services, or Schematic Design, Preliminary Design Solutions, Budget Estimates, and Development of Construction Documents in strict adherence to Construction Cost Estimates. Nayan’s vision for our company is to honor the legacy of quality, commitment, service, and excellence as Mr. S.C. Barker has delivered consistently to this community for the past 50 years. His passion is to bring life to a Client’s dreams and visions, and to deliver a complete finished product above and beyond all expectations. Nayan and his wife Lori, have two children Gavin and Kelsey. He enjoys watching his son play baseball, coaching his daughter’s softball team, and family time at the beach.
Kevin Barker has 20 years of construction experience and is Operations/Quality Control Manager for SC Barker Construction Company. Kevin’s responsibilities include pre-construction services, operations management, cost management and overall vision for each project. Kevin’s commitment is to build high-quality, on-time and on-budget projects. It is Kevin’s leadership that insists clients receive an experience which demonstrates an eagerness to go the extra mile and to meet every project roadblock with a solution. Kevin and his wife Meredith have (2) children Davis and Everett. He enjoys running, cycling and activities with his family.
Carter is the newest member of the SC Barker Construction Team. He his a 1992 graduate of Valdosta State University with a BS in Computer Science. Furthermore, he has twenty-five years of experience in the construction industry. This experience includes eight years of design experience, two years of civil design experience, and fifteen years of experience as a construction project manager in the local construction market. Carter’s responsibilities include Schematic Design, Preliminary Design Solutions, Budget Estimates, Development of Construction Documents, Project Estimates, Construction Management, and Post-Construction Services. His ultimate goal is to maintain a great relationship with each Client, while providing them with the highest level of project management. Carter and his wife, Sherry, have one child, Thomas, that they enjoy spending time with. Finally, Carter enjoys serving in his church, spending time in the outdoors, and following local high school sports.
Melissa is a 2010 graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Architecture. Also, Melissa graduated in 2006 from Valdosta State University with a Associates Degree in Applied Science. Furthermore, she has over fifteen years of experience in the architectural, engineering and construction industries. Melissa worked as an intern architect for over 10 years under the direct supervision of Mr. Richard Hill, AIA of Richard Hill & Associates in Valdosta, GA. She played a vital role in the design process, from schematic design to architectural construction administration. She assisted with projects such as the Vidalia Municipal Annex, City of Hahira Fire Station, Camping World in Lake Park, GA, Tift Area Urology Ambulatory Surgery Center, St Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Albany, GA, NuSmile Family Dentistry, and South Georgia Eye Partners Clinic and Ambulatory Surgery Center. Melissa joined the SC Barker Construction Team in May, 2016. Her key responsibilities include Schematic Design, Preliminary Design Solutions, Budget Estimates, Construction Documents Development, Project Estimates, Project Management, and Post-Construction Services. Melissa has OSHA 30-HR Certification and strives to ensure safety in the work place on all of her projects. Melissa and her husband, Carl, enjoy spending time in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
Kimberly began work with S.C. Barker Construction in 2010 and has served as the company’s Staff Accountant and Project Engineer. Her experience includes: Subcontract preparation, issuance of RFIs and CORs to Project Architect, distribution of subcontractor RFIs and CORs to the appropriate Project Manager, preparation and distribution of Change Orders issued to subcontractors, issuance of Purchase Orders for project materials, completing applications for required licenses and permits, completing applications for all rental agreements, receive and verify accuracy of all pay requisitions from subcontractors, receive and verify accuracy of invoices from suppliers against purchase orders, process all payments for subcontractors and suppliers, prepare pay requisitions to be submitted to the Owner for payment.
Shane Henry has 16 years of construction experience. Eleven of those years as a sub contractor in commercial glazing as well as ceramic tile and stone installation. His goal for the company is to bring innovative solutions to each job by meeting all budgets and time lines while creating an easy experience for a Client. Shane has a wife and 4 children and he enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and golf.
