Renovations and Additions to the Tift County Public Library

About the project

This project consisted of new construction and renovation of a 25,000 sf, two-story building on a four acre site.

The services performed by S.C. Barker Construction Company included salvaging and reusing items identified by the owner and architect, weekly safety meetings with all staff and subcontractors, providing Construction Management and Supervision.

In areas of cost, quality and schedule, S.C. Barker Construction Company’s performance exceeded the expectations of the owner by completing the project forty-eight days ahead and $50,000.00 under budget.

Our firm was awarded First Place in 2010 for the Build Georgia Awards presented by the Georgia Branch, Associated General Contractors for this project. We were also awarded Best Sustainable Building Practices for this project.
