Legacy
After his graduation from Valdosta High School, Sirois Barker studied Business Administration at the University of Tampa on a football scholarship, later transferring to Valdosta State University. Sirois left Valdosta to serve in Vietnam in the Navy Sea Bees as a member of the Construction Battalion. Following his father and grandfather’s footsteps, Sirois returned to Valdosta in 1965 to start his own construction business, S.C. Barker Construction Company, Inc.
In 1996, the legacy continued when Sirois’ son, Kevin, joined the company after studying Building Science at Southern Polytechnic University in Marietta, Georgia. In order to further grow the business, S.C. Barker Construction brought on Nayan Patel in 2004. Nayan brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise in architectural design to the business and galvanized the company as a leader in the design‐build delivery method in South Georgia. S.C. Barker Construction Company holds fast to traditional values, honesty, hard work and quality construction built at a competitive price. Our focus has always been on quality and special attention to detail while ensuring our clients’ vision for the project is met.
