Valdosta Middle School – STEM Academy

About the project

The Valdosta Middle School Classroom Addition was a 25,646 s.f. new construction project with linking corridor to tie the new into the existing building. The two-story STEM Academy construction began in June 2018 and completed in July 2019, just in time for the 2019-2020 academic year. The STEM Academy has a total of eleven Classrooms, five Lab rooms, and ancillary spaces equipped with specialized needs for the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematic studies. It was an honor to work with the Valdosta Board of Education, VMS staff and students, and Altman + Barrett Architects on this important project impacting the education of the youth in our community.
